Frequently Asked Questions

What is the RSVP deadline?
April 1. If you need more time, let us know.

How can I get to the wedding?
Misyrlena and Duarte have arranged for shuttles to pick-up and drop-off guests to and from the wedding. Please fill out this form to arrange a pick-up: https://form.jotform.com/251406172762050

Are kids allowed at the wedding?
As much as we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration.
But Crete is very child-friendly, so if you'd like to turn your trip into a family vacation, you should. We are happy to offer options for babysitters that can free you up for our big day.

Can I bring a plus-one?
You know us: the more, the merrier. But as you might expect, we are dealing with capacity limitations. The invitation you received in your email names the guests we expect to RSVP. If you'd like to bring any additional guests, message us.

Can I get hair and makeup done for the wedding?
Absolutely. Check out the “services” tab on our website with all of the details for booking hair and make-up appointments.

What should I wear?

Picture this: A beautiful farm, bursting with flowers and greenery, nestled between olive trees and vegetable gardens. Rustic vibes, nature everywhere, and a celebration of all things gorgeous. That’s the backdrop for our day, and we want you to bring the style to match.

Ladies: we’re all about comfort and elegance here— skip the high heels, and opt for sandals, block heels or wedges (since you'll be walking on an unpaved ground and dancing all night). Wear patterns that pop, florals, bold prints, or a chic pant-and-jacket combo. Dresses can be maxi, midi or mini. Show up feeling fabulous and channel your inner Misyrlena with your fashion game.

Gentlemen: think loafers, colorful linen suits, white pants with a polished jacket and a funky pocket square. And ditch the tie — let’s embrace the island heat in style. The goal is fashion-forward without sweating it out in a suit.

Our wedding will be a laid-back island affair, but don’t let that fool you—this is not casual event. We’re looking for effortless chic with a bit of fun. We know you’ve got it in you.

Do I need to rent a car?
We highly recommend that you do. Crete is one of the most magical islands to explore, and it's really hard to capture that magic without renting a car. It will give you the freedom to see different villages, beaches, restaurants and monuments. Ideally, you'd rent a car from the airport that you can pick up and drop off upon your arrival/departure.

How far is the church from the venue?
The church is located right next to the venue, so you don't have to worry about any transportation between the two events. We expect the wedding ceremony to last about 40 minutes. After that, the guests will walk straight into cocktail hour.

How can I get to the wedding?
We will be providing transportation details to and from the wedding closer to the date.

Can I get hair and makeup done for the wedding?
Absolutely. Misyrlena will send options for both hair and makeup closer to the date. We want you looking and feeling amazing.

How many nights should I stay?
Misyrlena and Duarte are going to be in Crete from July 2-7. There's so much to explore on the island, so if you're traveling from afar and want to stay even longer, do it. We're going to be adding a list of our recommendations for things to do, beaches to see, restaurants to try and more to our website soon.

Should I combine my trip to Crete with another spot in Greece?
Athens is one of Europe's coolest cities and if you've never been, you're missing out. We'd be happy to help you plan a fabulous itinerary for a few days in the city. Another option is Santorini, where Misyrlena is from. The famous island is about an hour and a half away from Crete via ferry and a great addition to your itinerary if you want to see more.
